Calzone Recipe

The Calzone Sandwich is a “Little Pizza Sandwich”, great as an on-the-go handheld and fun and flavorful at parties. Combine Hillshire Farm® All Natural* Cooked Spicy Italian Sausage Crumbles, Hillshire Farm® Sliced Pepperoni and creamy artichoke dip for a Calzone Ceremony! *Minimally processed. No artificial ingredients.

Ingredients

YIELDT: 6-8 Slices

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 ea.7” Proof and Bake Sheeted Pizza Dough
2 oz.Hillshire Farm® All Natural* Cooked Spicy Italian Sausage Crumbles
1 oz.Hillshire Farm® Sliced Pepperoni, 14 slices per oz.
1 oz.Spinach Artichoke Dip
1 oz.Mozzarella Cheese - Shredded
As needed.Egg, Liquid For Egg Wash
Directions

Step 1:  Lay dough out flat on work surface.

Step 2: Place spinach artichoke dip, Hillshire Farm® All Natural* Cooked Spicy Italian Sausage Crumbles, Hillshire Farm® Sliced Pepperoni, 14 slices per oz., and mozzarella cheese in a half moon shape on half of the dough. Leave a 1/4 inch lip of dough to seal up.

Step 3: Fold dough over toppings in a half moon shape and press closed. Press any air out as you are closing the calzone.

Step 4: Pinch to close the edge or use the back of a fork to seal the edge.

Step 5:  Pre-heat convection oven to 475°F. Bake calzone for 15 min. or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.

Step 6: Let rest 10 minutes.

Step 7: Cut and serve.
