2/3 Cup | Low-sodium soy sauce, divided |
1 Ea. | Juice of 1/2 lime |
3 tbsp. | Packed brown sugar, divided |
2 tbsp. | Cornstarch, divided |
As Needed | Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper |
2 tbsp. | Vegetable oil |
3 Ea. | Garlic cloves, mined |
1/3 Cup | Low-sodium beef (or chicken) broth |
2 tsp. | Sriracha (optional) |
1 Head | Broccoli, cut into florets |
As Needed | Sesame seeds, for garnish |
2 Ea. | Thinly sliced green onions, for garnish |
Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk 1/3 cup soy sauce, lime juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon cornstarch until combined.
Step 2: On a flat top grill over medium-high heat, heat oil.
Step 3: Add The Original Steak-EZE® Revolutionary Fast BreakAway® Sirloin Beef Flat Steak, cook until seared, about 1 minute per side. Separate slices into strips and pieces until cooked.
Step 4: Remove steak and set aside. Add all elements to a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 5: Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 6: Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon cornstarch until garlic is coated, then stir in broth, remaining 2 tablespoons brown sugar, remaining 1/3 cup soy sauce, and Sriracha.
Step 7: Bring mixture to a simmer. Add broccoli and simmer until tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 8: Season sauce with salt and pepper (if necessary), then return steak to skillet.
Step 9: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
