Classic Chicken Philly Sandwich Recipe

Original Philly® Fully Cooked Sliced Chicken stacked on a warm toasted Amorosa bread roll with griddled onions and bell peppers and creamy cheese sauce 

Ingredients

YIELD: 6-8 Slices

  AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS 
1 Tbsp.Canola Oil
5 Oz.Original Philly® Fully Cooked Sliced Chicken 4/2.5 LB
Kosher SaltKosher Salt
1/8 tsp.Black Pepper - Ground
2 Oz.Yellow Onions - Sliced Thin
2 Oz.Green Bell Peppers - Julienned
3 Oz.Yellow Cheese Sauce (Comercially Available)
1 Ea.Hoagie - Split
Directions

Step 1. Preheat a flat top grill to 350°F

Step 2. Place oil onto the flat top grill.

Step 3. Remove the Original Philly® Fully Cooked Sliced Chicken from the pouch and place it onto the flat top grill.

Step 4. Using a spatula toss Original Philly® Fully Cooked Sliced Chicken with salt & pepper until warm.

Step 5. Chicken should have an evenly brown appearance when completely cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured using a meat thermometer.

Step 6. Place the sliced onions on to the flat top and allow to cook until translucent.

Step 7. Using a spatula, combine the Original Philly® Fully Cooked Sliced Chicken onions and bell peppers together.

Step 8. Top with cheese sauce and combine.
