Plenty of napkins for sticky fingers are needed for our BBQ Hoisin Breaded Wings with Pickled Watermelon recipe. Tyson® Wing Stingers® Breaded Chicken Wings are tossed in a sweet hoisin sauce with fresh garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes and then delightfully caramelized under high heat. The pickled watermelon adds a lighter bite as a great palate cleanser.

Pickled Watermelon

6 Cups | Apple Cider Vinegar |
1 Cup | Granulated Sugar |
3 Oz. | Fresh Lemon Juice |
1/2 Oz. | Fresh Thyme |
48 Oz. | Watermelon |
Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F.
Step 2: Combine the hoisin sauce, teriyaki sauce, garlic, fresh ginger and chili crisp oil in a bowl.
Step 3: Toss the Tyson® Wing Stingers® Breaded Chicken Wings into the sauce and place in the oven. Reserve sauce.
Step 4: In 10-minute intervals, baste the wings with the reserved sauce until a thick lacquer has been layered onto the wings. This will allow it to coat and caramelize under the high heat to become crispy.
Note: The watermelon is a fresh replacement to help balance the intense flavor with something a little acidic to cleanse the palate between wings. You can add a little bit of ice and place in a refrigerator to cool down the mixture.
Pickled Watermelon
Step 1: Combine the apple cider vinegar, sugar and lemon juice into a sauce and bring to a boil.
Step 2: Then pour over your cut watermelon and add the fresh thyme.
