Italian Beef Directions
Step 1: Preheat a flat top grill to 350°F
Step 2: Place oil and Original Philly® Sliced Flat Steak onto the preheated flat top grill.
Step 3: After the portion has cooked through about half its thickness, approximately 1-2 minutes, flip the portion once.
Step 4: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and add salt and pepper.
Step 5: Continue to cook the meat another 1-3 minutes, meat should have firm, cooked appearance.
Step 6: Cook to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured using a meat thermometer.
Step 7: Remove cooked steak from flat-top grill and place it into prepared Italian beef au jus and reserve warm.
Step 8: Place Italian bread roll onto a clean worksurface.
Step 9: Spread roasted garlic aioli onto one side of the Italian bread roll.
Italian Beef Au Jus Directions
Step 1: Pre-heat a pot over medium high heat.
Step 2: Add butter, and allow to melt, add all of the spices (except the bay leaves) to the butter and whisk to combine. Allow the spices to develop the aromatics for 1-2 minutes.
Step 3: Turn the heat back on to medium low. Add the fresh, roughly chopped garlic and allow it to cook in the spicy butter mixture for 1-2 minutes.
Step 4: Pour in the stock then add in the bay leaves.
Step 5: Bring the stock mixture up to a simmer then remove the pan from the heat.
