Customers look for them on the menu. Operators want to serve them up as crispy and juicy as they can be. We're pleased to let you in on a way—actually four ways—to wow guests on the chicken sandwich scene and help save you time and labor costs. Get ready to create chicken sandwiches that win on crunch, flavor, labor and versatility.
Consumers want “that true crunch” from their chicken sandwich experience. That’s one of the reasons operators are turning to Tyson Red Label® Authentically Crispy Chicken Breast Filets. Seventy percent of consumers tested reported these filets as being equally or even more crispy compared to a breaded filet they order from their local restaurant.2
These thick-cut, premium, whole muscle chicken breast filets are juicy, too, with the perfect balance of breading. They deliver the savory, flavorful chicken your patrons crave “with the top sensory notes of the best QSR restaurants out there,” says Kathryn McCullough, Sensory Scientist, Tyson Foods Research and Development Team.
Honey Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich featuring Tyson Red Label® Uncooked or Fully Cooked Authentically Crispy Spicy Filets
It’s no surprise “spicy” is found on 70% of U.S. restaurant menus3 and is second-most commonly paired with chicken in menu descriptions4. To stay on trend with customer demand, we built on the momentum of our original line of Tyson Red Label® Authentically Crispy Chicken Breast Filets and brought everything customers love about the product to create yet another way to up your chicken game.
Like our original crispy chicken, our spicy filets provide flavor that will wow patrons and give you an easy way to add a premium option to your menu.
“Multidimensional flavor is what differentiates this product from other spicy items,” says McCullough. “It’s not just spicy. It’s savory. It’s got umami. It’s got garlic notes. And in that first bite, there are nodules of breading that allow for a crisp impact, but there’s also contrast. Once you get into the meat, it’s really juicy and really flavorful. Overall, it’s an amazing experience.”
Operators use the hand-breaded method back of house to get the crispy, crunchy texture patrons expect of chicken sandwiches. But hand-breading is time intensive, labor intensive and messy.
Our chicken breast filets give you a new way to menu a chicken sandwich that solves for that authentic, hand-breaded appearance and taste—with a lot less time and effort.
Tyson Red Label® Authentically Crispy Chicken Breast Filets give you a premium quality, thick-cut whole-muscle eating experience without extra labor.
“Not everybody has the space, time or food safety protocols to do batter-breading back of house,” says McCullough. “We’ve formulated this product to emulate that back-of-house batter-breading process.”

These filets also cook from frozen to help shorten prep time and reduce food safety concerns while supporting an extended shelf life. “You can cook some ahead of time and have them hold in a non-steam environment,” says McCullough. “The product holds very well for up to 30 minutes.”*
Tyson Red Label® Authentically Crispy Chicken Breast Filets are available in uncooked or fully cooked varieties, giving you the flexibility to choose which option is best for your back-of-house needs. Our uncooked (parfried) option retherms in a fryer in just 7-½ minutes—while our fully cooked solution reduces fryer cook time to just 5 to 7 minutes or can be rethermed in a convection oven, making it a great option for operations without fryers.
When serving our Authentically Crispy chicken breast filets, McCullough likes to keep it simple. “Freshly fried, brioche bun, a good dill pickle and mayo on the heel and crown of your bun,” says McCullough. “It’s a simple build, but it performs very well in that style.”
More foodservice operators are also experimenting with the fastest-growing carriers, like Italian Bread (+31%), Brioche (+17%), French Roll (+16%), Flatbread (+11%) and Croissant (+9%), and that can give your operation a competitive edge for menuing fried chicken sandwiches.5
Authentically Crispy chicken breast filets are an obvious choice for winning sandwiches, but they are also great for adding delicious flavor and crunch to a wide variety of menu options and LTOs. Try adding our filets to salad or as pasta toppers, like this recipe for Cheesy Chicken and Shells.
