Deep-Fried Bacon on a Stick Recipe

Two generous strips of Wright® Brand Applewood Smoked Bacon are folded onto a stick, dipped in seasoned batter and deep-fried to crispy perfection. Drizzled with a smoky-sweet maple chipotle aioli, it’s a bold, crave-worthy snack that’s as fun to eat as it is delicious.

2 oz.Chipotle Maple Aioli Sauce (Sub-Recipe)
32 oz.Breader (Sub-Recipe)

Chipotle Maple Aioli

Yield: 32oz

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
3 cupsMayonnaise
3/4 cupChipotle en Adobo, prepared
1/2 cupMaple Syrup
3 tbsp.Lime Juice
1 tbsp.Garlic Powder
1 tsp.Salt
Directions

Step 1: Pre-heat fryer to 350°F.

Step 2: While raw skewer bacon in an "S" shape.

Step 3: Par cook bacon 2-3 minutes in fryer. Remove and let excess fat drip off and allow bacon to cool back to room temperature.

Step 4: Dredge bacon in flour mixture, then dip in buttermilk egg mixture, then once more in the flour mixture. Checking to make sure it is fully coated.

Step 5: Fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Step 6: Serve warm with Chipotle Maple Aioli.

Sub-Recipe Directions

Chipotle Maple Aioli

Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. 

Step 2: Hold cold for cold service.

Alternate Directions

Step 1: Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl.

Step 2: Mix all ingredients together to well combined.

Step 3: Remove from mixing bowl and use as needed.

Step 1: Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Reserve for later

Step 2: Combine all wet ingredients in a bowl, Reserved for later.
