Orange Chicken Pizza Recipe

Featuring Tyson® Mini Fully Cooked Breaded Whole Muscle Chicken Bites with soy hoisin sauce base; mozzarella cheese; orange glace drizzle; scallion; and red, yellow and green bell peppers.

4 Oz.Hoisin Soy Sauce (commercially available)
6 Oz.Mozzarella Cheese, Blend, Shredded
7 Oz.Tyson® Mini Fully Cooked Breaded Whole Muscle Chicken Bites, Fried
2 Oz.Red Bell Peppers, Trimmed, Sliced, Julienned
2 Oz.Yellow Bell Peppers, Trimmed, Sliced, Julienned
3 Oz.Orange Sauce (commercially available)
1/2 Oz.Green Onion, Sliced Thin
1 tsp.Sesame Seed (Optional)

Orange Sauce

YIELD: 16 Ounces

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 Tbsp.Canola Oil
1/4 tsp.Chili Pepper Flake, Dry
2 Tbsp.Fresh Garlic Clove, Minced
2 Tbsp.Fresh Ginger, Peeled, Minced
1 CupLight Brown Sugar
1 CupOrange Juice
1/2 CupWhite Vinegar, Distilled
2 Tbsp.Soy Sauce, Prepared
2 Tbsp.Water, Room-temp
2 Tbsp.Corn Starch
1 tsp.Sesame Oil

 

Directions

Step 1:  Place pizza crust onto a clean worksurface.

Step 2: Drop two or three scoops of pizza sauce directly onto the center of the crust.

Step 3: Using the back of the ladle/spoon, spread the sauce in a circular motion, starting from the center and working your way outwards.

Step 4: Sprinkle cheeses over the entire pizza.

Step 5: Build the pizza by adding the ingredients in the order listed.

Step 6: Bake it according to your preference.

Step 7: Cut the pizza for service and garnish with scallion and sesame seeds.

 

Alternate Cooking Methods

FRYER: Cook Tyson® Mini Fully Cooked Breaded Whole Muscle Chicken Bites in 350ºF fryer for 60-90 seconds or until internal temperature reaches 160ºF. Hold hot for service.

Pizza Oven: Temp: Belt speed – 725 / Temp - 425

Sub-Recipe Directions
Orange Sauce

Step 1: Place oil in a pot over medium-high heat.

Step 2: Add in chili flake, garlic, and ginger and sweat all until tender.

Step 3: Add in brown sugar and allow to caramelize.

Step 4: Add in add in orange juice, vinegar, and soy sauce, bring to a simmer.

Step 5: While simmering combine water and cornstarch into a bowl and mix to form a slurry.

Step 6: Add in cornstarch slurry to thicken sauce.

Step 7: Gently whisk in sesame oil to finish and allow to simmer for approximately 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 8: Remove from heat and use as needed.
