Spicy Masala Sausage Toast Recipe

What’s not to love about adding spicy and bold flavors to your menu with this take on a loaded tiki masala toast featuring Aidells® All Natural* Chicken and Mango Breakfast Sausage Links, 4 Inch, 1.3 oz with wilted buttery spinach, sunny side-up egg and smothered in a tiki masala sauce.

1 Ea.Egg, Whole, Fried, Sunny Side Up
2 OzSauce, Tiki Masala (Commercially Available)
¼ tsp.Herb, Cilantro, Fresh, Chopped

1 TbspButter, Unsalted, Softened
1 tsp.Garlic, Clove, Fresh, Peeled, Minced
6 OzSpinach, Baby, Fresh
1 tsp.Juice, Lemon, Fresh, Squeezed
¼ tsp.Salt, Kosher
1/8 tsp.Pepper, Black, Ground

 

Directions

Step 1: Place the toasted sourdough toast onto a clean work surface.

Step 2: Spread the wilted spinach across the entire piece of toast.

Step 3: Place two sliced Aidells® All Natural* Chicken and Mango Breakfast Sausage Links across the toast.

Step 4: Place sunny side up egg on top of Aidells® All Natural* Chicken and Mango Breakfast Sausage Links.

Step 5: Pour the tiki masala sauce over the entire toast.

Step 6: Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.

Step 7: Serve as needed.

Sub Recipe Directions

Wilted Spinach

Step 1: Heat butter in a large sauté pan or skillet. 

Step 2: Place garlic into sauté pan and cook until aromatic, then add spinach. 

Step 3: Drizzle with lemon juice and stir to combine well. 

Step 4: Continue to sauté until the spinach starts to wilt.

Step 5: Season with salt and pepper.

Step 6: Serve as needed.

Convection: Cook from frozen. 1. Preheat convection oven to 350°F. 2. Place frozen links on a parchment lined sheet pan. 3. Cook 16-18 minutes or to a minimum internal temperature of at least 165°F, turning halfway for even browning.

Flat Top Grill: Cook from frozen. 1. Preheat flat top grill to 350°F. 2. Place frozen links on grill. 3. Cook 20-22 minutes or to a minimum internal temperature of at least 165°F, turning frequently for even browning.
