Baked pita bread is topped with sliced steak, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion and a drizzle of classic, sweet and savory shawarma sauce.

1/4 tsp. Ea. | Salt, Pepper |
4 Ea. | Pocket-style Pitas, split in half and cut into 24 wedges |
3 Tbsp. | Olive Oil |
1/2 tsp. | Cumin |
2 Cups | Shredded Mozzarella Cheese |
2 Cups | Lettuce, sliced |
1 Ea. | Tomato, diced |
1/2 Cup | Red onion, chopped |
1/3 Cup | Sweetened Condensed Milk |
2 Tbsp. | Water |
2 Tbsp. | White Vinegar |
1/2 tsp. Ea. | Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Dried Oregano Salt |
Step 1: Preheat a flat top grill to 350°F.
Step 2: Place Sirloin Beef Steak on the flat top grill.
Step 3: After the steak has cooked through about half its thickness, flip the portion once.
Step 4: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and season with salt and pepper. The beef should have an even brown appearance when completely cooked.
Step 5: Remove beef from the grill and set aside. Let it cool.
Step 6: Toss the pita wedges with olive oil. Lay flat on a two-rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle with cumin, salt and pepper.
Step 7: Bake in a 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand for 10 minutes or until crisp.
Step 8: Increase the oven temperature to 400°F.
