Breakfast Smoked Sausage Biscuit Benedict Recipe

Griddled Hillshire Farm® Split Smoked Sausage topping a split fluffy buttermilk biscuit with melted cheddar cheese. Covered in sausage gravy, topped with two strips of Jimmy Dean® Hickory Smoked Bacon, an egg and cheese sauce. Garnished with chives. 

Ingredients

Yield: 1 Serving

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 ea. Buttermilk Biscuits 
2 slices Cheddar cheese, aged  
1 link Hillshire Farm® Fully Cooked Split Smoked Sausage Links 6:1
3 oz.Sausage gravy 
1 ea.Poached egg 
1 oz.Cheese sauce 
2 ea.Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Hickory Smoked Regular Bacon Slices
Pinch Chives, chopped 
Optional Splash of hot sauce 
Directions

Step 1: Split a baked buttermilk biscuit and top each half with a slice of Cheddar cheese. 

Step 2: Place the seared and split Hillshire Farm® Split Smoked Sausage side by side across the two biscuit halves, then drizzle the sausage gravy over the sausage.

Step 3: Top with two slices of Jimmy Dean® Hickory Smoked Bacon in a “X” form and a poached egg. Spoon cheese sauce over the poached egg.

Step 4: Garnish with a sprinkle of chives and a splash of hot sauce, if desired.
