Mongolian Beef Bowl Recipe

The Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak, tossed in a Mongolian stir-fry sauce on a bed of sticky rice and topped with grilled baby Bok choy, spiraled pickled carrots, sliced Fresno peppers, cilantro leaf, green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

2 Oz.Sauce, Mongolian, Garlic (Commercially Available)
6 Oz.Rice, Sticky, Botan, Sweet, Prepared
2 Ea.Bok Choy, Baby, Halved, Grilled
2 Oz.Carrots, Asian, Pickled (Sub Recipe)
5 Ea.Peppers, Fresno, Red, Sliced, Thin
1 tsp.Onions, Scallions, Sliced, Thin
2 Ea.Cilantro, Fresh, Picked, Sprigs
½ tsp.Seed, Sesame, Black / White, Mixed

Asian Pickled Carrot Spirals

SERVING SIZE: 12 Oz

AmountMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 CupWater, Warm
½ CupVinegar, Rice Wine, Prepared
½ tsp.Spice, Red Pepper Flakes
4 TbspSugar, Granulated
1 tsp.Salt, Kosher
2 CupsCarrots, Orange, Fresh, Spiral Cut
Directions

Step 1: Preheat a wok or flat top grill to 350°F.

Step 2: Place oil and Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak onto the preheated wok or flat top grill.

Step 3: After the portion has cooked through about half its thickness, approximately 1-2 minutes, flip or toss the portion once.

Step 4: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and add salt and pepper.

Step 5: Add in Mongolian garlic sauce and toss to combine.

Step 6: Remove from flat top grill and reserve.

Step 7: Place sticky rice into a serving bowl.

Step 8: Place the Mongolian seasoned Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak into the center of the bowl on top of the rice.

Step 9: Place the Bok Choy, pickled carrots and Fresno peppers around the bowl.

Step 10: Garnish the entire bowl with scallions, cilantro sprigs and sesame seeds.

Step 11: Serve as needed.

Sub Recipe Directions

Asian Pickled Carrot Spirals

Step 1: Place all ingredients except for carrots into a pot and bring to a boil.

Step 2: Remove from stove and allow to cool.

Step 3: Once cooled, add in the carrot spirals and place into a clean container.

Step 4: Use as needed.
